By choosing to install a Solar PV system on your building you can not only cut your energy bills, but generate income too-through the Feed-in Tariff. The scheme guarantees a minimum payment for all electricity generated by the Solar PV system installed (generation tariff), as well as a separate payment for any unused electricity exported to the grid. These payments are made directly to you by your energy provider and in addition to the bill savings made by using the electricity generated on-site.
MCS
The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) is intended to provide a robust third party certification scheme for microgeneration products and installers, and is designed to underpin Government grant schemes such as the Feed-in Tariff. Grants are only available to applicants using both products and installers certified under the Microgeneration Scheme.
